Press Release

Dr. John A. Kilpatrick, Greenfield Advisor’s Board Chair, has been named to the audit committee of the Washington Economic Development Finance Authority. Dr. Kilpatrick was appointed as a Director of the Authority in 2017 by Governor Jay Inslee, and will now serve in this leadership capacity.

The Washington Economic Development Finance Authority (WEDFA) is an independent agency within the executive branch of Washington’s state government. WEDFA was created by the legislature to act as a financial conduit to businesses through the issuance of nonrecourse revenue bonds. WEDFA has the authority to issue these bonds on both a taxable and tax-exempt basis in support of qualifying projects —primarily manufacturing, processing and waste disposal facilities. Since 2014, WEDFA has facilitated the issuance of over $532 million in tax exempt bonds to stimulate job creation in the State of Washington.

Dr. Kilpatrick has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate and appraisal industry. He is a certified appraiser in all 50 states, and consults on a wide variety of real estate, finance, and investment related projects.
