  • Uber and Lyft drivers in Seattle could soon be making more money. The Seattle City Council is considering new legislation that would increase the drivers’ pay.
  • Owners of the estate of Alexander Graham Bell are appealing the assessed property value of $885,000 because they believe it is too high.
  • A mega-dairy in Oregon will be allowed to remain open. The dairy recently settled a lawsuit accusing the operation of polluting local groundwater.
  • Banks in China are continuing to drop bad loans, and they are looking to raise more capital throughout the rest of the year.
  • Two Colorado cities are fighting a legal battle over whether one city can condemn and take land that belongs to another city.
  • Minimum wage employees in Delaware will not be getting a raise. A bill that would have increased the state’s minimum wage by 50 cents a year through 2020 failed in the Senate.
  • Norwalk, Connecticut, could soon join nearly 40 other cities in the state that have banned fracking if the movement continues to move forward and is eventually approved by the city council.
